The Rabbinical Council of America has today announced the appointment of Rabbi Moshe Rosenberg to occupy the newly created position of Director of Public Affairs, effective immediately. A recently appointed member of the 48 member Executive Committee of the RCA, Rabbi Rosenberg is also the rabbi of Congregation Etz Chaim of Kew Gardens Hills, in Queens NY.
Rabbi Rosenberg brings an impressive set of skills and qualifications to this important new RCA position. He will be responsible for authoring syndicated OpEds, press releases, and other statements dealing with contemporary affairs, on behalf of the RCA. He will in addition, project and promote RCA policy statements as formulated by the RCA Vaad Halacha, its Public Affairs Committee, and its RAPID Task Force. He will also be providing certain support and coordinating services for those committees.
The appointment is effective immediately.
