Profiles Headlines
(Dallas, Texas) Jun 2, 2011 -- Rabbi Ari Perl has been the rabbi of Congregation Shaare Tefilla in Dallas, Texas since 2003. Under Rabbi Perl’s leadership, Shaare Tefilla has grown from a small shul of 80 families to an active, vibrant and diverse congregation of more than 180 families, which continues to grow each year.

Together with a group of dedicated lay leaders, Rabbi Perl founded the Community Kollel of Dallas in partnership with Yeshiva University's Center for the Jewish Future, an organization that served as a springboard for the community’s rapid growth. Rabbi Perl is active in the broader Dallas Jewish Community, having served as President of the Rabbinical Association of Greater Dallas, on the Jewish Federation’s Board of Directors and as an instructor in the local Melton Adult Mini-School and the Beit Midrash of North Texas. Rabbi Perl has served two terms on the Executive Committee of the Rabbinical Council of America, and was recently appointed as a Vice President.

Prior to his position in Dallas, Rabbi Perl served as rabbi of Congregation Beth Israel Abraham & Voliner (BIAV) in Overland Park, Kansas, and Assistant Rabbi at Congregation Ahavath Torah in Englewood, NJ.

Rabbi Perl received his ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (Yeshiva University) and earned a Master's degree in Jewish History from the Bernard Revel Graduate School for Judaic Studies.

Rabbi Perl and his wife Meira are blessed with five children: Tziyona, Elimelekh, Sarit, Assaf & Yamin.
