Mar 24, 2006
At the most recent meeting of the RCA’s Executive Committee, held on March 22nd 2006, fifteen rabbis were approved as new members of the organization, the largest Orthodox rabbinic organization in the world. These new members are in addition to the more than one hundred rabbis who have joined the RCA over the last several years, with many other applications currently pending.
These numbers reflect the new energy and level of services that the RCA has demonstrated in recent years, as it continues to build on its 70 year record of Jewish communal leadership, Torah scholarship, and the professional excellence of its members. Most significantly, the leadership ranks of the organization are increasingly characterized by their relative youthfulness, as well as geographic dispersion, made possible by emerging technologies that allow for easier distance communication and information exchange.
