Rabbi N. Daniel Korobkin is Rosh Kehilla for Kehillat Yavneh in Los Angeles, where he lectures and writes on Jewish philosophy and other Jewish topics of interest. He acts as spiritual leader of the Kehilla’s minyan and of Yeshivat Yavneh, a large yeshiva elementary school on Yavneh’s campus. He is also director of community and synagogue services for
the OU's West Coast Region.
He received his rabbinic ordination from Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore. He received his Master of Science degree from the Johns Hopkins University School for Engineering at the Applied Physics Laboratory. He was an adjunct professor at Muhlenberg College, and wrote a feature column for Hakol, the Lehigh Valley’s Jewish newspaper. He has served as spiritual leader for Young Israel Synagogue of San Diego and for Congregation Sons of Israel in Allentown, PA. When reflecting on his rabbinic career thus far, one of the accomplishments Rabbi Korobkin is most proud of is having built the Eruv in Allentown, PA.
Rabbi Korobkin is a member of the Rabbinical Council of California and a past officer and active member of the RCA. He is the author of the new translation of the classic philosophic work
The Kuzari: In Defense of the Despised Faith. In addition, Rabbi Korobkin serves the area as a certified mohel. Finally, he is a doctoral candidate in the area of medieval Jewish thought at UCLA.
Rabbi Korobkin and his wife Karen reside with their children in Los Angeles.
